Row by John Pawson
For this signature design by John Pawson, JOV used a material new to their line: alpaca wool. Taking inspiration from the fiber’s natural beauty, the colors are not dyed but represent the many subtle tones of these beautiful creatures. The ultrasoft alpaca is looped into formations of tubes and squares, which are enclosed by a plot of merino and New Zealand wool.
The thinking behind this collaboration between JOV and John Pawson was to produce a collection of tufted rugs with the structural appearance of woven rugs through the specific application of pattern. The designs use repeating elements that, in conjunction with material choices, allow structural patterns to become the dominant partners to graphic patterns.
Materials: undyed alpaca wool and New Zealand wool.
Available colors: Sand, Umber, and Granite.
Size and shape are customizable.
