Technical innovation was the inspiration for the CNC texture by Salvatori. The motif was inspired by designer Piero Lissoni’s visit to our Tuscan headquarters where he saw the Computer Numerical Control system at work. He was fascinated by the way a precise pattern could be created by experimenting with machine settings and designed the stone texture to recall this effect.

CNC is characterised by a series of parallel lines that have been cut into the surface of the stone, creating a harmonious striated effect.

It can be applied in uniform and random layouts in both vertical and horizontal directions.
